Important Notice:
We will celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. If you are sending Valentine's cards please bring them in on the morning of the 14th. We are also skating that day so we will pass them out before we leave. A class list was sent out last week. If your child did not receive one, please let us know! Thank you!
We had another guest teacher today. It was a pleasure to have Mrs. V in our classroom, assisting Mrs. Goodall with instruction throughout the day.
We started our day with Team Edit Tuesday. We corrected all the errors in a letter Mrs. Stanford sent us. We looked for spelling errors, punctuation errors, and a few grammatical errors! Next, Mrs. Stanford's class went to music and Mrs. Goodall's class talked about Fairy Tales. We had lots of fun acting out different scenes from our favorite stories. During reading time, we finished up our special surprise for Mrs. Stanford while Mrs. Goodall and Mrs. V read with different groups of students. In Art, we finished up our Acadia pictures and learned how to draw a lobster. Did you know that some of the largest lobsters caught in Nova Scotia cost up to $125.00!
We finished our day with talking about letter G in our ABC's of Acadia books. G stands for growing crops. The acadians grew wheat, barley, and oats. Ask us what oats were used for!
We hope you had a good day!
Love,
The Grade Two Students
