Good Afternoon!
Thanks for returning the permission slips for the ice skating field trip! We still need 20 more forms, please!
This morning, we started our day with Team Edit Tuesday. We read a poem called, "The Sheep and The Jeep." We had to look for words that were missing the ee and ea vowel blends! It took us some time to find them all but we did it!
While Mrs. Stanford's class went to music, Mrs. Goodall's class talked about Chinese New Year's and read a poem about how girls and boys celebrate the holiday.
During our reading time, we completed a word search with bossy e words and looked for ee and ea words while we completed our silent reading. Mrs. Goodall and Mrs. Stanford read with different groups. The stories they read had silent ee words and bossy e words!!! It was fun to look for them all!
In Math, we continued to practice subtracting two-digit numbers. Next, we are going to work on problem solving using two-digit addition and subtraction.
After lunch, we worked on letters C and D in our ABC books of Acadia. Ask us what C and D stand for!
We finished the day with physical education. We are learning to throw with accuracy and use stick handling to control a ball.
Love,
The Grade Two Students
