Please look inside of your child's folder for a skating notice. Our new date will be this Thursday March 2nd. If you have volunteer clearance and would like to join us please complete the bottom portion of the letter. We have several volunteers confirmed - but the more help, the better.
Today we wrote in our journals and continue to work on building writing stamina to fully express our thoughts. In Social Studies we listened to fiddling music from Acadia. We remembered Keirah's fiddling music from last year and that she explained that the fiddle and violin are the same except for how they are played. We completed our J page for ABCs of Acadia - 'J is for Jigs. Acadians love to play and dance to the fiddle.'
In math we used our 100 beads to help with 2-digit addition and subtraction problems. We also worked on a Snowball Pyramid problem. We needed to find the pattern and then add several numbers together. At the end of the day we listened to the story, Ada Twist the Scientist. We then met in small groups to think of ways to keep an ice cube at our table group from melting quickly.
