This afternoon we listened to the beginning of the story Over and Under in the Snow and then we went outside exploring. We looked over and under the snow to see what micro-habitats were in our Naturalization area. We used trowels to help us dig and look. We found sticks, leaves, rocks, ice, snow, flowers, roots, newspaper, food wrappers and a beanbag. We were surprised to see a variety of seeds scattered all over the snow. When we looked up we saw new bird feeders. We wonder where they came from. When we looked down we saw animal droppings. We are wondering what animal the droppings are from. We think maybe it is from a deer or a hare. We are also wondering when they came and ate because we didn't see any animals when we were outside. What do you think?
