Today we learned about the different parts of a buffalo and how their uses. For instance, the horns were used for cups, spoons and containers. The sinew was used to sew hide and attach bone or wood. The hide was used for clothing, teepees, shields and drums. Then we sketched another artifact. So far, we have looked closely at and sketched the horn spoon, flesher, Metis sash, doll, shield and the quiver.
In the afternoon we made a paper boat and reinforced it by giving it structure as well as making it waterproof. We also had our second day of tennis.
