We began our morning in the art studio painting a base coat to prime our sculpture for painting tomorrow. Adrienne showed us painting techniques and shared with us some of her art work. She paints 2D work using watercolour and acrylic paints. She also uses paper mache and bronze to make 3D sculptures. One of her pieces of work is a large mural at the Children's Hospital.
Before lunch we did drama, writing and drawing with Carmen. She talked about the importance of being creative by acting on our impulses. Then we imagined ourselves exploring different places and acted like different animals. We travelled through the jungles, caves and imaginary places from our own minds.
In the afternoon, we explored the sounds outside. We noticed many different sounds in a city space. Then we went inside and visited the SoundScape where we listened to sounds that ranged from trickling water, crackling ice, drumming, throat singing to other sounds which our imaginations created.
