Hello,
Today we came to school and worked on writing sentences. We are learning why it is important to always write in complete sentences and what the difference is between a sentence and a sentence fragment.
After we finished that we did math. We are working finishing up our work on subtraction by working on strategies to solve subtraction problems and what they actually mean. We are getting better at knowing what we have and what we take away while subtracting.
We then started the last step in our science experiment. We are going to be displaying our work in our visual journals and tried to make sure our writing was clear and that we organized our ideas so that they made sense on the page.
At the end of the day we got to trade in our books in the learning commons.
Our teachers would love it if we completed a book report challenge by the end of February. They know that we all read at home so for an extra challenge, our teachers would like us to complete some sort of book report on a book we have finished reading. If you would like to access some new reading material you can click on Razz kids on the Evergreen School web page.
We could do one of the following:
Retell the book in writing.
Draw a picture of what happened in the book.
Answer who, what, where, when, and/or why about the book.
Draw am important scene from the book and explain why it is important.
Please bring in the book report by the end of February so we can share it with our classmates
Have a fantastic evening!
