This afternoon we got to visit with the grade three's ducklings! They aren't so small anymore. They are huge! We were on the look-out for similarities and differences between the ducks and chicks. Some of the things we noticed about the ducks:
- the poop - A LOT!
- they still don't have feathers at 4 weeks old.
- they are yellow and white
- they have webbed feet
- their bills are long and u shaped
One of our peers brought in quiet critters to use during independent work times. We love little critters! Ask me what a quiet critter is!
Have a great day!
Another callout for any available volunteers tomorrow. If you are free and would like to help us out, please let us know! Thanks.
