Dear families,
Notices:
Today we started a new tradition of Wonder Wednesdays. If we have a "wonder" we put it in a bucket, and on Wednesday we pull out some questions and try to find the answers. This morning we discovered what hot dogs are made of, and wondered if aliens really exist. We could only find the answer to the hot dog question, not the alien one. We saw a video about how the hot dogs are made; they are not halal.
In gym, we played a warm up game called "rock, paper, scissors" tag. Ask us what the rules are!
We did an art project with Mrs. Stuart's and Mrs. Tipper's class. We drew a tree and cut it out, then we glued the tree to a piece of paper for the background.
We made snowflakes and read a book about how snowflake are formed. Snowflakes start with a speck of dirt or salt. Pieces of water stick to it and freeze and make different kinds of snowflakes. We saw a video of a snowflake forming, and a bubble freezing. Ice froze on the bubble.
We did a 1-2-3 draw of a frog.
We wrote about what we do in the winter time. We used lots of descriptive, juicy words like cold, fluffy, sugary, salty, sleepy, soapy, frosty, frosting and cozy.
We reviewed our school's snow agreement.
Love,
The Grade 2s :-)
