Dear parents,
Important notices:
Today for Teamwork Tuesday, we talked about the difference between being a "boss" and being a "leader." For example, a boss criticizes and commands, while a leader gives advice/feedback and asks. After teamwork Tuesday, students went to music and learned about instruments. Afterwards, we had snack and recess, and we finished reading Mummies in the Morning. We played "Junk-it" before going into our literacy groups.
After lunch, we had choice between yoga and silent reading. We then looked at some more Blackfoot artifacts. We looked at a stone-tipped arrow, a child's doll, and one artifact that we will find out more about tomorrow.
Have a great evening,
Grade 2
Important notices:
- Tomorrow is Hats on! for Mental Health Awareness. Students are encouraged to wear a hat tomorrow to encourage awareness of mental health issues and to support talking about and lessening the stigma of mental health issues.
- Tomorrow afternoon, we will begin building our boats. Thank you to everyone who was able to share materials with the class. Please note that this is an in-class activity. If your student has created a boat at home, they will still be expected to make a boat in-class; please do not bring homemade boats to school.
