Dear families,
Important notices about SKATING:
Today, we switched table groups and did art projects with our new groups. We had to all work together on the same picture, we each had to draw one section each, communicate with each other, so that all of the pieces put together made the same picture. We got to choose with our groups what kind of drawing to do, chalk pastel, crayon, pencil crayon, skinny markers, and oil pastels.
We wrote our Friday journals today (because there is no school tomorrow, yay!)
We did poetry. The poem was called "Dreams" and it was about not giving up our dreams so easily.
We went to gym and played hockey.
We did literacy with Mrs. Tipper and Mrs. Stuart's class.
This afternoon we had an option between DEAR (drop everything and read) or working on our poetry.
Have a great long weekend!
Love,
The Grade 2s :-)
Important notices about SKATING:
- We are going skating on Monday. We will be leaving the school at lunch and returning to Evergreen School at 3:30 (traffic permitting). Please arrange for students to be picked up at this time.
- If you have skates or helmets, please bring them on Monday. Please note that bicycle helmets do NOT provide adequate head protection while on the ice. Skating, hockey, ski, and snowboard helmets are allowed.
