Dear Families,
It was a great day of learning and beautiful weather :)
This morning we painted newsprint poppies for our Remembrance Day wreath, had music where we practiced for our winter show and had a morning meeting about playtime at recess. We discussed the importance of including others and making sure that no one is left to play alone (unless that is their choice).
Your children are so kind and thoughtful. I see how they look out for each other.....
After recess we had our guided reading/literacy rotations.
This afternoon we cut out the petals of our poppies, did a body break and yoga and did another exciting science experiment in our 'Exploring Liquids' study. Today we learned about the term "surface tension" and we did a magic penny experiment. Ask me how it worked and what my predictions and observations were!
We had fun with this one :)
Reminders:
Thursday is the last day to bring food in for the Veteran's Food Bank
No school on Friday, November 11- Remembrance Day
Have a great evening!
Love,
The Grade 2's
