Dear families,
Important notices:
Today we went to gym and did some dry-land training. These are exercises that we do off the ice that will help us be better skaters when we go on the ice.
We illustrated a story. We listened to a story and drew pictures that went with the story. The story we are illustrating is called Evangeline, which is about a girl that who lived in a village in Acadia (in Canada) a long time ago. In her village, people were being deported.
We got to see different temperatures in different cities and countries, like Hamilton, ON, London, ON, Algeria, India, the Sahara Desert, and Nigeria. We learned how to read temperatures on a thermometer. We use Celsius on the thermometer. Only the USA uses Fahrenheit.
We did reading stations in the morning.
Ms. Tang brought in new books for the book nook, like I have to go by Robert Munsch, Fancy Nancy, Diary of a Minecraft Zombie.
Have a great evening!
Love,
The Grade 2s :)
