Today we started learning more about Canada's Inuit population! It began with a treasure trunk full of artifacts from the Glenbow Museum! We were so excited to see what was inside! We needed to wear gloves and handle the items very carefully because they are so fragile. We do not know what most of the items were used for yet, but we are going to journal our ideas for the items. We are going to sketch the artifacts and label them just like Leonardo daVinci (famous person we referred to yesterday;) did.
Ask me to describe my favorite Inuit artifact!
We went to the Learning Commons today and took out books...if students had 2 books already out, they will need to be returned before more can be taken out.
Reminders:
*There is no school for students this Friday, October 7 (PD Day) or Monday, October 10 (Thanksgiving)
*If you have earphones/earbuds (from airplane, etc) please send them in for your student to use on the computer. If you have extra that you do not need we will happily take any donated pairs ;)
Have a wonderful evening :)
