Dear Families,
Today we had our regular Wednesday morning. WE had reading stations, morning routine and gym and music flip flop before snack and story. Today for story we started reading about pioneer life. Next we had literacy centers. After lunch we learned a little about the NWMP coming to Calgary. We found out that there once was a Col. James McLeod who the road was named after. Then we got our science challenge for the afternoon. We had a piece of tin foil and had to design a boat. Ask me what the 2 challenges were. We only had a chance to test out half of the boats so far so we are going to continue tomorrow. What is the biggest number so far?! It was a very exciting afternoon in grade 2.
Here is a link to the Canadian Heritage Moment that we watched about the NWMP in the Klondike.

Important Reminders:
We are still looking for LOTS more cardboard milk and juice containers for our next project. Please keep sending them in!
Love the Grade Twos
