Dear Families,
Today we started with reading stations and morning routine. Then we did 2 literacy jobs. First we practiced our popcorn words by building them with playdough. Next we played alphabet bingo. After snack and sharing we had body break. Next we learned about how to do our math BUILD rotations. After lunch we had 123 draw and gym. In gym we were practicing for the Terry Fox Run. Then we talked about Terry Fox. Ask me what I learned about him. Then we had our first fire drill of the year. We did really well but we just need to be a little faster next time.
Important Reminders:
If you have not yet signed up for parent teacher conferences please do so.
Terry fox Run is on Thursday morning. We will be talking about Terry over the next few days in class. On Thursday students can choose to dedicate their run to a friend or family member who is facing, has faced cancer or for Terry. If they would like to dedicate their run to someone please send a note in their SMILE folder with the name (ie Grandma, Poppy, Auntie Kim etc…) and your child’s name so we can make a sticker for them.
We are still looking for volunteers for the run. If you have a valid volunteer police clearance and can help out please contact Mr. Craig [email protected].
No School for students on Friday.
