Dear Families,
Today we started in our usual way and then moved on to writing. We were working on adding the endings to our stories and then going back to edit our work. That is the tricky part in grade 2---editing your own ideas! We had story, snack and outside recess. It was wonderfully sunny. When we came back in we did a new science experiment to do with raisins. We tested to see if they floated or sank in 2 different kinds of water. Ask me to tell you what we observed. In the afternoon we learned a bit about the RCMP. Tomorrow we are going to talk about how they started as the NWMP and how they fit into Calgary's past. Then we did sketchbook work and gym flip flop. Today in gym we worked on building a rally over a net. At then end of the day we read about how clothing evolved in Canada.
Important Reminders;
Cultural night is open to all Evergreen School families. Thursday night 5:30- 7:30.
We are collecting milk and juice cardboard cartons for our next math project.
Love Grade Two
