Dear families,
Important notices:
Today we started the day with gym, followed by Wonder Wednesday where we learned all about how video games are developed and programed, what the world population is, and how turtles are born.
Afterwards, we continued to practice our paragraph writing skills. Before lunch, we had our first day of BUILD math, learning subtraction mental math skills.
After lunch, we did a 123 draw of Grumpy Cat. We wrapped up recording and comparing temperatures and looked at some of the temperatures we saw from Calgary, Iqaluit, and Meteghan these past few weeks. Ask me which place is the hottest and which place is the coldest. Also for science, we looked at conduction and what materials make good conductors. Ms. Tang put a piece of butter on wood, plastic, and metal, and put all three materials in a cup of boiling hot water. We watched to see which be the best heat conductor and melt the butter the fastest.
Have a great evening,
Grade 2
