The week is flying by!! It is so nice to see everyone beginning to settle into their routines and to see new friendships forming :)
We talked today about the importance of being a kind classroom. We want to treat others well and have them treat us the same way. We want to include others so that no one is lonely. We want our classroom filled with smiles :) We are reading a quote or two each day from the book '365 Days of Wonder'; it gives us many things to think about and discuss.
We went to PE and the library for an orientation with our librarian, Mrs. Schuman this morning. We also created a class jobs chart to help keep our classroom running smoothly and organized ;)
We talked about our individual interests and then did an activity where we put our name in a cloud and then drew pictures of our interests and likes and then labelled them. They look amazing!!
Thank you once again for all of the cool Canada facts! We are learning so much about our country!! Keep them coming :)
Home Reading books will be sent home tomorrow. Have your child read at home and then when they are finished they can bring it back and switch for a new book.
*We had birthday cake pops sent in today...they were nut free and packaged from a commercial bakery. For those with nut allergies I put into a ziplock bag and sent with your child. If any families would prefer their child does not have birthday snacks, due to allergies, or just personal preference, could you please email me and let me know? Thank you! [email protected]
Have a great night :)
