Dear Families,
Today we switched our books at the Learning Commons...if your child didn't have their book today, it can be sent in anytime and they can go to the Learning Commons for a new book.
We are continuing with place value and skip counting in Math. Today we had to continue this number pattern: 2, 5, 8, ___, ___, ___ and figure out what number we were skip counting by. Practice with skip counting at home would be very helpful! We have been focussing on counting by 2's, 5's and 10's...
We also had our guided reading/literacy stations and PE this morning.
This afternoon we watched a Canadian Geographic video all set in Iqaluit, Nunavut. We learned some more about the culture and traditions of the Inuit people. Ask me what throat singing is.
Tomorrow is early dismissal Friday!

Hallowe’en Howl | Friday, October 28 2-4pm
It’s time for the Evergreen School Hallowe’en Howl! Join us from 2:00-4:00pm on Friday November 28, 2016 for a howling good time.
There will be a DJ, concession (pizza, snacks & beverages available for purchase…bring your loonies and toonies), arts & crafts, games, and most importantly - don’t forget to wear your costumes!!!
There will no tickets or cost to the event this year. Due to the growing size of our school this event is limited to current Evergreen students and their immediate family only. All students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent during this event.
We need lots of help to make this event a success! If you are able to help please click on the following link to sign up https://www.volunteersignup.org/P4Y3B
Have a great evening :)
Love,
The Grade 2's
