Dear families,
Important notices:
Today we wrote diary entries from the perspectives of people that were deported from Acadia a long time ago. We had to imagine ourselves as children that were removed from their homes and think about what they were doing and feeling. We read Fiddles and Spoons, which was a story about a mouse family from Acadia that was deported to another land.
We did a science experiment about how convection works. We had two jars filled with cold water and two jars filled with hot water. We put one of the cold jars on top of the hot jar and the cold water mixed with the hot water underneath. When we put the hot water on top of the cold water, it stayed the same. Ask me why that happened!
We had gym. We played a game called spaghetti and meatballs. It was like hockey with pool noodles and foam balls. Ask me how to play. In gym we had a lockdown drill.
Have a great evening,
Grade 2s :)
