Dear Parents and Students of Evergreen,
Our school will be participating in a community walk to support the ALS Society of Alberta on Thursday, June 1, 2017. This is a cause that has directly impacted our school this year. Approximately 3 000 Canadians live with ALS. There is no known cause or cure for this devastating disease - yet.
All proceeds from our walk will stay in Alberta to make each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS. Donations can be made to Evergreen for ALS with the ALS Society of Alberta
Learn more about ALS
Parents and community members are also invited to join us at Evergreen School on Thursday June 1st from 6:00pm to 7:00 pm for an informative session with Dr. Lawrence Korngut. Dr. Korngut will be sharing information about ALS and current promising research.
Dr. Korngut is a neurologist at the Calgary Neuromuscular Clinic and is the Director of the Calgary ALS and Motor Neuron Disease Clinic. His research includes clinical trials of new therapies for neuromuscular conditions.
Please RSVP to this event before May 25th at [email protected]
We thank you for your support!
