Dear Families,
Today we started the day with reading stations. Then we did a new science experiment.that looked at buoyancy. We are wondering why a whole orange floats and a peeled orange doesn't. Ask me what my hypothesis is. We had our dance residency and then snack and story and recess. After that we had literacy centers. In the afternoon we did yoga and then we had a special presentation. Ask me hoe we were thinking of others this afternoon. At the end of the day we had a short time for ketchup.
Important reminders:
Tomorrow is our sharing for our dance residency. Parents are welcome to attend and doors open at 9:50
Screenagers| Growing up in the Digital Age (70min)
Presented by Evergreen School Council at 6:30pm March 16th
Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a sixsecond attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that with her own kids and learned that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. She wondered about the impact of all this time and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time—friction she knew all too well.
