Wow! What a wonderful experience being with a real Great Horned Owl. Her name is Ophelia. We learned so much from Hira, a volunteer from Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society.
She taught us about Ophelia's eyes, beak, wings and talons. We also learned about other animals that are brought to their centre that need help
She also taught us that "if you see a baby hare - leave it there!"
Important notes:
1) An invitation to our Fairy / Folktale film festival sent home
today. Friday June 17th 9:00- 10:00. Younger siblings are welcome.
2) Volunteer tea to follow Friday June 17th 10:15 - 11:15.
