4) Books from the Learning Commons can be returned to school when finished. During early morning reading tub time, s tudents have the opportunity to do a book exchange as needed.
This morning in Writing we looked at 2 different pictures and brainstormed descriptive words about the characters and possible problems. In gym we did a partner warm up and used the rubbery pom-poms with mini bouncy frisbees. They are challenging to control. After we had Daily 5 . Ask me what book I am reading in my guided reading group and whether it is a fiction or non-fiction book. In the afternoon we added more ideas to 'My Very Last First Times' booklet. In math we wrote as many equality questions as possible such as:
50 + 50 = 90 + 10 or 25 - 5 = 10 + 10 or 8 + 2 + 1 = 4 + 7 or 100 - 25 = 25 + 25 + 25
At the end of the day we learned about Inuit Printmaking. Ask me how we made our own stencil and what design I made. Tomorrow we will use the rollers and paints to make prints with different colours.
