A message from Mrs. Roworth:
We are currently exploring gymnastics in gym for the next four weeks. Please remember to come to school dressed to participate in gym. Wear comfortable clothing that is not long or baggy that will allow you to move. Try to avoid coming in dresses or skirts, or make sure you are wearing leggings and not just stockings. If you have longer hair that could be tied back in a ponytail, bring a hair elastic with you to school. Dangly jewelry like earrings and necklaces may need to be taken off, so if you can, leave it at home. Also, bare feet are preferred in gymnastics. If you have any cuts or infections, we ask that you come with appropriate coverings like athletic tape, fabric bandaids or gymnastics slippers. Thank you for your cooperation.
A school-wide message about mini-sticks:
All teachers are asking students to leave mini-sticks at home as there have been injuries as a result of rough play. In class, we will continue to encourage students to create games that are safe and inclusive.
