Our school will be participating in a community walk to support the ALS Society of Alberta on Thursday, June 1, 2017. This is a cause that has directly impacted our school this year. Approximately 3 000 Canadians live with ALS. There is no known cause or cure for this devastating disease - yet.
All proceeds from our walk will stay in Alberta to make each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS. sToday we enjoyed a fast game of bench ball in gym. For home journals we wrote ideas about our week which included:
* facts about the bat presentation
* steps for making our magnet projects
* using popsicle sticks in music
* learning about soddies in social studies
* math assessment showing what we know about odd / even numbers, ordering numbers from greatest to least and least to greatest, writing word problems and solving 2-digit addition and subtraction questions.
