Today was our last day doing In-line Skating. Everyone did a great job learning how to skate! They were balancing and moving around with confidence playing Builders and Bulldozers and then Doctor Dodgeball.
During Literacy we learned a new poem called Come Little Leaves. While reading it we have been "buttering" our popcorn words. Ask me what that means. Come Little Leaves
"Come, little leaves, said the wind one day,
"Come o'er the meadows with me and play:
Put on your dresses of red and gold
For the summer is gone and the days grow cold."
In the afternoon we listened to a classmate share about her certificate collection. We also had Music. Ask me what we are singing in Music. Afterwards, we had a Circle of Courage where we shared about what we like about Evergreen and how we show respect for others at Evergreen. In math we practiced our counting to 100 by 5s and 10s with Jack Hartmann's action songs and then we represented the number 8 in a variety of ways.
To finish the day we listened to the story, Plant a Kiss.
