Dear Parents,
This morning we started the day by writing a letter to our teachers. We wrote about things that we learned over the summer or important things that our teachers needed to know about us. In math we created a classroom graph based on activities we did over the summer. Almost everyone went to some kind of park! Yeah! We then solved a problem based on our new Pencil Holders. All grade 2's have wooden holders with 4 holes drilled into the wood for pencil holders. If each table has one holder and there are 11 tables in our class. How many holes were drilled in total?
This afternoon we read the book "Dream" by Susan V. Bosak. We then created our own dreams for Grade 2. We wrote them on little clouds and will have them around the room to remind us throughout the year.
Forms were sent home today in the blue folders. Please make sure to send them back as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for helping us with the tennis balls!!! It was such a huge help.
Have a great night!
Love,
The Grade Twos (oops! I wrote Grade One yesterday!)
