Hi Families!
We were so happy that Mrs. Stanford was back today but also very sad that Friday is her last day. We are going to have a little goodbye party for her tomorrow.
Today we started some work on writing our own Fairy Tale. We thought about how important it is to choose good characters.
In Math, we wrote our own word problems and had our friends solve them. It was fun to practice using the words all together and in total to indicate it is an addition problem.
During reading time, we read with a partner while our teachers read with groups of students.
After lunch, we did a Science experiment using warm water. We are learning about materials that provide insulation. Ask us what we did!
We finished the day by visiting the learning commons. Please remember to return any overdue books!
Here is some information to prepare you for skating:
1. We are skating on Feb. 6th, 8th, and 14th from 10:00 until 2:00.
2. Students will be grouped according to ability and there will be instructors on the ice.
3. Bike helmets are not permitted only skiing/snowboarding or a hockey helmet.
4. Students will need to know their shoesize for skates if they are not bringing their own.
5. Students should wear long sleeve shirt or jacket and mitts and pants (dont have to have snowpants as may get too hot). No bare legs or skirts.
6. No boots are allowed on the ice.
7. We will eat lunch once we arrive at the oval. Please be sure to pack a bag lunch!
Have a great night!
