We hope everyone had an enjoyable long weekend and ate lots of yummy food! It sure was hard to get out of bed after three sleep in days!
This morning we had our gym/music flip-flop. Ask me what I did in gym and music today! Afterwards we practiced our Daily 5 Literacy stations. The most popular station is the "Listen to Reading" station where we use the computers to go on Bookflix. Please remember to send in a pair of headphones if you haven't done so already. After lunch we worked on a tricky math problem about Thanksgiving dinner options. There was a list of food being served for dinner and we had to figure out as many different combinations as we could. Boy there were lots!! This afternoon we worked in the naturalization area outside and learned about the food that plants give us. We saw a Crab Apple tree and a Saskatoon Berry plant. Unfortunately animals must've eaten the berries over the summer!
Remember that Wednesdays are "walking/rolling Wednesdays". Everyone is encouraged to walk/ride to school. Have a great night!
Love,
The Grade Ones
