It was nice to be together again after the long weekend!
This morning we wrote about we we did over the long weekend and then Mr. Knitter's class went to music.
After music we had a fantastic presentation! A student from the University of Calgary, who studies bats, came in to talk to us about bats and then she showed us a brown bat that her team had rescued! He was really cute! This was a nice lead-in to our next topic in Science: Small Crawling and Flying Animals.
After recess we practiced making different shapes with tangrams. Ask us what we did!
In Science, we were introduced to the "The Great Boat Event". We are using the supplies everyone brought in to make our own boats. Today we created the blue prints and tomorrow we will build them! We can't wait!
We finished the day with gym!
