This morning we watched shadow puppet plays made by the grade 4s! They are studying the First Nations and created their own legends. They put a ton of effort into their stories, reading with expression and creating really cool shadow puppets! It got us thinking about our Three Little Pigs puppet show and what we could do to make ours better.
In math we measured a GIANT footprint using different objects around the room. We pretended that the footprint was the Giant's in Jack and the Beanstalk. We talked about the length and width of the footprint and how one unit of measurement can be different then another. For example, measuring with Mrs. Stanford's foot would give you a different number then measuring with a student's foot. Tomorrow we are going to compare items in the classroom that are bigger/smaller than the footprint.
This afternoon we continued on with our Fairy Tale letters. These letters are fantastic and we can't wait to share them with you!
We hope you enjoy your evening!
