Today was our Terry Fox run in the morning. A big thank you to all the parents that gave their time to volunteer and make the community run possible! We also liked the juicy oranges at the end of the run - thank you! We did some math addition to figure out that our class raised $90 for cancer research. It was a lot of numbers to add, ask me how we found faster ways to add up the numbers. I wonder if anyone thought of other quick and accurate ways to add up? Leave a comment if you have a fast addition strategy to share.
We talked about how Terry made smaller and larger goals and had action plans to achieve his goals. Ask me to tell you a few of his goals. We are working on goals for us to learn at school, the hardest part is keeping them specific and small enough to target! (For example, "getting better at writing" is too broad, but "using capital letters in the right places" is more specific and easier to work on.) You will start to see those goals entered on Iris and changed as we meet them.
Have a good sleep, it's almost the weekend,
