Ms. Watkins is back! Yeah! This morning she showed us pictures of the Blue School in New York as well as some famous sites like, Rockefeller Centre and the American Museum of Natural History (that's where the Night at the Museum was made!) It was really cool to see the pictures. Did you know the giant tree in New York isn't actually one tree? It's made up of a whole bunch of branches! Crazy!
In math we showed all the different ways to represent a number. We could draw pictures, write words, math equations, ten frames, etc. This afternoon we had ketchup and pickles time finish work from the week that we didn't get through. It always feels good to complete tasks that weren't done! To finish the day we used an existing poem called, "Little Poppy" to make our own. We cut up the poem and used words that we thought were important to create our own.
Reminder that Mrs. Stanford's gym group has skating tomorrow!
Have a great day!
Love,
The Grade Ones
