Dear Parents,
Today was our last day with the Chicks! We will miss them. They are going to be living with Mrs. Tipper! She is building a coop for them. We bet she will keep us updated on them. In music we played "musical statue". When the music stopped you had to freeze! We wrote our weekly letters to you! Please remember to write back to me. For art we had to draw the mirror image of an owl. We are learning about symmetry. It was T-R-I-C-K-Y!
We are noticing that a lot of us are not reading their "Home Reading" books. It is very important to read everyday! Each morning Mrs. Stanford and Ms. Watkins will be asking the kiddos what their books were about. Our hope is that they will be able to discuss them and give a summary. Please help us with this by asking comprehension questions. For example: Who are the characters? What was the problem? How was the problem solved? What did you learn?
Have a fantastic weekend!
Love,
The Grade Ones
