Today was our last day of Stampede School. We met a Chuckwagon expert, Doug Nelson who told us many stories about Chuckwagons and Chuckwagon racing. We had already seen some of his work in the book and documentary called Hotcakes to High Stakes. Ask me to tell you a Chuckwagon story? We also got to drive our own mini chuckwagon that is in the picture above. See if I can remember what each person's job was and what my job was? We had to throw in the tent pegs and stove, go around the barrels in a figure 8, then race around the loop and back to the finish line. We did it in about 30 seconds. Do you think the adult team was faster than the kid teams?
An apology to the Mom's on Mother's Day...we have been so busy at Stampede School this week and so we will do a surprise for you on Monday. You will get to have Mother's Day treats on Sunday and Monday from us!
Love,
The Grade Twos
