Today we made boats with tin foil into shapes. Then we tested then to see how many counters they would hold. We built a different boat and tested it again. About half of us had a second boat that held more, but half of us had a first boat that held more counters. For math we practiced scoring for a game called Cribbage. We didn't use the boards yet. We needed to find doubles, runs, four cards of the same suit and numbers that add up to 15. We also had to add our scores together.
We are collecting milk and juice containers that are 2L, 1L or 500 mL. We are looking for the cardboard and wax ones that are rectangular prisms. We will be building a pioneer village.
