Today we met Sandra Many Feathers, who is Blackfoot. She told us about why stories are so important to pass down knowledge. She told us two stories of Napi that both had lessons - ask me to tell you the stories. We also got to look at some Blackfoot artifacts, some from the Glenbow Museum and some of her own. We tried to figure out what each thing was, what it was made of and what it was used for. Sharon told us about them at the end. We also went to visit the Entrance Tipi on the Stampede grounds. Ask me to tell you about the art work below: What are the symbols? What do the shapes mean? Why do we think it was set up the way it was? Who does it tell about?
We are looking forward to going to the Grain Academy tomorrow and more adventures on park!
Love,
